Mailing parameters are any set of mailing criteria being used to process a mail service request. This can be anything from personal lists to a targeted mailing list created for you by our Mai Service Department upon request. Below are outlines on how to submit personal lists and how to request a targeted mailing list.
Personal Lists
When submitting personal lists or lists purchased outside of HomeVisit please make sure that they meet the following criteria:
- All submitted list must be in Excel format
- Our processing software can only process excel files
- Excel List must be formatted into the following five columns
- Name (First and Last)
- Address (Including Street Numbers / Apt & Unit Numbers)
- City
- State
- Zip
(Any lists not meeting these standards will be emailed back to the customer for reformatting)
The mail Service dept, upon request, can create a customer-specific file in our database and keep any personal lists on file to be used for future orders. Any changes to lists kept on file by the mail service department must be made by the customer and the new list emailed to replace the old one on file.
All list must be submitted to mailservice@homevisit.com please site the listing or record that the list(s) is for in your email.
HomeVisit Targeted Mailing List
Customers can submit a set of mailing criteria that the mail service dept can use to create a targeted mailing list. In order for us to create these list request must include the following information:
All mailing criteria must begin with a geographical reference point.Such as:
- State
- Zip
- City
- Neighborhood
- Subdivision
- Street(s)
- Most Condo Buildings
- Submitted Map or Street Boundaries
- Simple property radius
Please note that list using only whole cities, states, or zips as geographical start points tend to have very high preliminary counts. Also when submitting neighborhoods, subdivisions or streets the city, state, and zip that each resides in must also be provided. This ensures that we are targeting the same reference point that you have in mind. In-kind when targeting a specific condo building the street address of that building must be provided not just the name.
After the geographical reference is established we can then refine the search further by including more specific parameters such as:
- Types of Homes (SFH/Condo)
- Total Assessed Tax Value
- Owner Occupied vs Absentee Owners
These represent the most common search parameters. More specific criteria can be requested and will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
Please note that we cannot target apartments or rental units. Our list building software is based on ownership records. This also makes targeting Coop buildings difficult. When mailing to either apartments, coops, or rentals agents must provide us with a list.
Also note that unless instructed otherwise the Mail Service dept, by default, will select all residential addresses for all request
